About Enjoy Basketball
Enjoy Basketball is a rapidly growing basketball media company creating premium basketball content including YouTube videos, podcasts, original game shows, live events, and branded collaborations. Their work reaches millions of fans monthly and partners with major brands, leagues, and media outlets in sports.
The Opportunity
As the Manager of Content Production & Operations, you will work closely with the VP of Content serving as their principal production partner. The role involves translating creative concepts into practical execution, developing scalable production workflows, managing and growing the production team, and ensuring the highest standards of quality across all projects. This leadership role also demands hands-on involvement from leading meetings to actively solving production challenges on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary production collaborator for the VP of Content on daily operations.
- Manage the production operating system including meetings, scheduling, workflows, tracking, and accountability processes.
- Lead the production efforts across multiple formats such as YouTube content, podcasts, original shows, branded content, and live events.
- Oversee and develop full-time and freelance production staff including editors, crew, and contractors.
- Convert creative ideas into detailed, executable production plans while enhancing quality, workflows, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Partnerships team to deliver branded content that resonates authentically with the audience.
- Assist in producing live events, original series, and specialized productions.
- Maintain readiness and operational standards within the Oak Brook production studio.
Candidate Profile
- 5 to 8 years of progressively responsible experience in production roles.
- Proven track record in managing productions from ideation through to final delivery.
- Experience leading teams including employees, freelancers, and contractors.
- Comprehensive understanding of YouTube, video podcasts, and digital-first storytelling.
- Ability to balance creative innovation with operational precision.
- Hands-on leadership style with readiness to participate in on-the-ground production tasks.
- A passion for basketball, sports media, and creator-driven content.
Experience in streaming, broadcast, sports leagues, or premium digital productions is advantageous.
Location and Logistics
This full-time role is based on-site at Oak Brook, Illinois, within the Chicago metro area. Candidates must live locally or be willing to relocate without company relocation assistance.
