About the Role
Join RealNZ as a Maintenance Technician specializing in marine operations, where you will engage in a wide variety of tasks ranging from general handyman activities to overseeing engineering risks across unique maritime assets. This permanent, full-time position is based in Te Anau, with occasional travel to stunning New Zealand locations such as Milford Sound, Rakiura, and Walter Peak.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance duties on vessels and associated facilities adhering to Standard Operating Procedures and industry best practices.
- Safely and efficiently carry out repairs and preventive maintenance ensuring high operational standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment defects and issues to maintain functionality.
- Conduct independent engineering research supporting maintenance and project activities.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Labourers and Apprentices to foster skill development.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant trade qualification is essential.
- A minimum of three years experience operating with heavy equipment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and conscientious approach to safe, efficient maintenance work.
- Strong record keeping skills for accurate maintenance documentation.
- Leadership capabilities with aptitude for mentoring team members.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
- Possession of a valid New Zealand driver's license.
