This role is offered through a partner company seeking a Machine Learning Engineer based in Australia. Responsibilities

• Develop, train, test, and assess machine learning models aligned with product goals.
• Prepare, cleanse, analyze, and manage datasets for training and validating models.
• Enhance model accuracy and performance via experimentation and optimization.

• Work closely with software engineers to integrate machine learning capabilities into applications.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in machine learning, software engineering, data science, or related fields or equivalent strong personal projects showcasing machine learning skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of machine learning concepts, algorithms, and model development.
• Proficient programming skills in Python.
• Experience with ML libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
• Comfortable handling data and writing clean, maintainable code.
• Knowledge of Git and version control procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Passion for learning, experimenting, and building AI applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related areas is advantageous but not compulsory.
• Experience with large language models (LLMs) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure is beneficial.
• SQL knowledge and experience deploying ML models are desirable.
• Contributions to personal ML projects or open-source initiatives are highly regarded.
