Role and Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement procurement plans covering mustard seeds, packaging supplies, and other critical production inputs.
• Source, assess, and negotiate with vendors to secure optimal quality, pricing structures, and delivery conditions.
• Maintain a consistent supply of raw materials to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing processes.
• Oversee inventory levels carefully to avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Collaborate effectively with production, quality assurance, warehouse, and sales departments to ensure seamless workflow.
• Handle coordination of inbound and outbound logistics, including planning transportation and dispatch schedules.
• Supervise warehouse activities to guarantee suitable storage of raw materials and final products.
• Identify and implement cost-saving logistics strategies while meeting delivery deadlines.
• Evaluate supplier performance regularly and cultivate sustainable vendor partnerships.
• Ensure strict adherence to FSSAI standards, regulatory requirements, and corporate procurement guidelines.
• Prepare budgets for procurement, manage purchase orders, and generate detailed inventory and logistics performance reports.
• Introduce and manage ERP/MIS systems for enhanced procurement and inventory oversight.
• Lead, guide, and motivate teams within procurement, warehousing, and logistics functions.

Required Skills

• Expertise in procurement and vendor relationship management
• Proficient in supply chain planning and inventory management
• Strong knowledge of warehouse handling and logistics operations
• Excellent negotiation abilities and cost management skills
• Familiarity with ERP, SAP, or Tally software preferred
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and MIS reporting
• Effective leadership and team management capabilities
