Role Overview

The Logistics Coordinator at Delta360 is responsible for overseeing the transportation, delivery, and distribution of fuel and oil products to various locations. This role prioritizes operational efficiency, cost management, and adherence to safety regulations, while serving as the key liaison for customers and sales to ensure seamless order processing from initiation through successful completion.

Primary Duties

  • Manage scheduling and coordination of fuel and oil deliveries to customers to guarantee punctual and accurate shipments.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, fuel terminals, and drivers to optimize routing and ensure smooth fuel distribution.
  • Keep track of inventory levels at storage sites or fueling stations to maintain proper stock and avoid shortages or excesses.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local environmental, safety, and transportation regulations, specifically those related to hazardous materials, fuel storage, and DOT requirements such as Hours-of-Service and Electronic Logging Devices.
  • Monitor delivery progress through GPS and logistics software, maintaining communication with drivers to promptly resolve issues or delays.
  • Serve as the point of contact for customers and sales, confirming orders, delivery windows, and special requirements while providing support for any concerns or conflicts.
  • Maintain thorough records of all fuel deliveries, inventory discrepancies, and assist in evaluating driver performance, including recommending disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Rapidly address logistical challenges including shipment delays, routing errors, or damaged goods to minimize disruptions.

Candidate Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, ideally in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience within logistics, transportation, or supply chain roles, preferably involving fuel or similar sectors.
  • Strong understanding of fuel and oil products, relevant transportation logistics, and associated safety and regulatory compliance, especially DOT and environmental standards.
  • Proficiency with logistics management software and tracking technologies such as GPS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively within teams.
  • Well-developed organizational and multitasking capabilities to manage numerous orders and deadlines in a dynamic setting.
  • Competent problem-solving skills to swiftly address and resolve logistical issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications related to logistics or supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and fuel management technologies.

Work Environment and Conditions

  • This is an office-based role located in Natchez, Mississippi.
  • Availability to work on weekends is required.
