Job Overview
The contractor will deliver specialized expertise across a wide array of Acquisition and Sustainment (A&AS) tasks supporting SDACP, BMC3, and allied mission partner weapon system life cycle activities. This role involves providing engineering, program management, contracting, logistics, operations, and administrative assistance throughout various project phases. Experience working within classified space acquisition environments is necessary, as is possession of an active security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop product support strategies that correspond with acquisition plans and determine the necessary infrastructure, processes, and procedures to preserve system functionality.
- Integrate quantitative system engineering design characteristics such as reliability and maintainability with functional logistics and integrated product support efforts to allocate proper product support resources.
- Coordinate the 12 product support elements alongside procurement and budgeting plans to ensure logistics support for deployed systems.
Required Skills & Experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal, DoD, Air Force, and SSC contracting rules and processes.
- Proven ability to assist government teams with all facets of contract administration including solicitations, proposed changes, funding modifications, contract awards, and incentive fee management.
- Preferred background includes experience as a Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) or buyer.
- Strongly preferred experience with SSC or mission partner programs focused on space control or space situational awareness.
Education and Certification
A bachelor's degree (BS/BA) along with 3 to 10 years of relevant experience is required.
Additional Information
- This position requires U.S. citizenship and eligibility for active Top Secret and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
- Travel is not required for this role.
- Employment is contingent upon contract award.
- Compensation is offered within a range of $140,000 to $170,000 annually, taking into account experience, education, skill set, geographic location, and contractual parameters in compliance with California's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
