About the Role
Winnipeg Moving and Storage is seeking a dedicated Local Packer to efficiently pack household goods while delivering excellent customer service. This position requires a friendly approach to assisting customers and ensuring their items are safely prepared for transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide courteous and positive service to all customers, ensuring respect for customers' property and office environments.
- Maintain ongoing communication with dispatch to report on current activities and progress.
- Accurately complete all mandatory shipping paperwork including bills of lading, inventories, and government forms, along with handling COD payments via cash, cheques, or credit card.
- Carefully pack household goods into boxes to guarantee secure shipment.
- Adhere strictly to Gardewine's safety policies and practices while performing work duties.
- Support additional tasks as necessary to contribute to company goals and objectives.
Candidate Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills paired with an ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Experience in packing household or office items is preferred.
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, carrying, and maneuvering boxes and office equipment.
- Willingness to undergo a criminal record and background screening conducted by Winnipeg Moving and Storage.
Physical Demands
Applicants must be physically fit to handle repetitive lifting, carrying, and moving of boxes and equipment during daily work activities.
