Job Overview

We are seeking a Custodial Associate (Light Duty Cleaner) responsible for maintaining cleanliness in designated terminal or facility zones. Tasks include general cleaning activities such as dusting, wiping surfaces, litter collection, mopping, sweeping, washroom sanitation, emptying trash bins, and vacuuming as needed. This role is offered initially as a three-month contract with a possibility of transitioning into full-time employment. Available shifts include Day (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM) and Afternoon (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM).

The hourly wage starts at $19.83, increasing by $1.00 effective July 1, 2026.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean ledges, windowsills, office furniture, walls, partitions, light switches, and doors.
• Maintain and polish chrome and stainless steel surfaces.
• Clean glass partitions, entrance doors, and facility posts within reach.
• Disinfect telephones and washrooms (toilets, urinals, counters, sinks, mirrors, dispensers, baseboards, and floors).
• Restock washroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
• Empty waste containers in washrooms, lounges, and throughout the facility.
• Dust baseboards and low air vents; sweep stairwells and spot mop steps.
• Perform pre-checks before equipment use and maintain cleaning equipment.
• Vacuum and clean cloth furniture and carpets; handle medical spills or floods using proper PPE.
• Collect debris and cigarette butts curbside; manage garbage disposal including bag removal and placement.
• Respond promptly to spill calls; maintain stock room cleanliness at shift end.
• Follow designated cleaning routes and use appropriate tools and color-coded cleaning cloths.
• Utilize iOS technology-based equipment for task tracking and compliance.
• Participate in all required technical and health & safety training sessions.
• Engage courteously with terminal passengers and attend ambassador training as required.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, report hazards and injuries, and participate in return-to-work programs.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by supervisors as necessary.

• Commitment to workplace safety by following all health and safety instructions.
• Willingness to use personal protective equipment consistently.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment only after receiving proper training and performing safety checks.
• Good communication skills to assist passengers and coordination within the team.
• Compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
