About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Lead YouTube Video Editor to collaborate with Wedding Pro CEO. The ideal candidate will specialize in crafting engaging video content that maximizes viewer retention for long-form, multi-camera YouTube videos.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit videos by synchronizing and cutting between multiple camera feeds (including a primary mirrorless camera and secondary/pocket cameras), ensuring the natural flow of conversations is preserved.
• Create compelling opening hooks within the first 30 seconds designed to capture attention and encourage viewers to keep watching.
• Perform advanced editing beyond simple filler word removal, focusing on techniques that increase viewer retention on YouTube.
• Incorporate polished motion graphics, animated lower-thirds, and strategic punch-in shots to enhance visual engagement.
• Deliver initial video cuts within 3 to 5 days of receiving footage.
• Collaborate through up to two rounds of video revisions per project to refine the final output.

Position Details

• Edit approximately four long-form, multi-camera videos monthly.
• Compensation ranges between $2,000 and $2,500 per month on a recurring retainer basis, contingent on experience.
• Workflow is coordinated via Google Drive.
• Applicants must be eligible to work as independent contractors based in the United States.
