Role overview
This is a brand-new, standalone position reporting directly to the Managing Director. The role sits at the intersection of project leadership, acquisition assessment, commercial analysis, and strategic delivery. You will partner with the CFO, divisional managers, and leaders across different regions, with a clear opportunity to develop into more senior leadership responsibilities over time.
What you will do
- Own commercial and strategic initiatives from the initial concept stage through to successful implementation.
- Spot and assess project and acquisition possibilities in New Zealand and overseas markets.
- Develop financial models and evaluate business cases to test viability.
- Work with the CFO to review deal feasibility and carry out due diligence.
- Assist divisional leaders around the world in finding opportunities to expand and grow.
What you need to succeed
- Background in senior key account management within retail, importing, wholesale, or trading environments.
- Strong capability in advanced Excel and financial modelling, paired with solid commercial judgement.
- Ability to build trust with senior stakeholders, supported by strong emotional intelligence.
- A proactive mindset with curiosity, energy, integrity, and a broad international perspective.
