Role overview

This onsite labourer position is based in Esterhazy K1, Saskatchewan, and is responsible for carrying out labour duties safely and efficiently on an assigned area and shift. The role is designed to help employees build their capabilities through training, practice, experience, testing, and task observation so they can progress within the company.

Key duties

• Work with a strong focus on safety and follow safe practices at all times.
• Show that you can handle the physical demands of the role, including lifting.
• Receive training on hand tools and power-operated tools.
• Complete equipment tests and task sheets when needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist in training other labourers when required.
• Follow both written and verbal instructions, and prepare written reports when needed.
• Comply with environmental laws and requirements relevant to the work.
• Observe all OH&S rules and internal safety procedures.

Job requirements

• You must be able to perform the essential duties safely without creating a risk to yourself or others.
• Ability to lift around 0 to 25 lbs occasionally.
• Comfortable climbing stairs and working at different heights.
• Ability to identify colours, patterns, or materials as needed.
• Good hearing, with or without correction.
• Basic reading, writing, and comprehension skills in English.
• Good vision, with or without correction.
• Ability to use fine motor skills with your hands.
• Willingness to wear a respirator.
• Availability to work rotating shifts and overtime when necessary.
• Must be able to complete a 12-hour shift.
• Must be legally allowed to work in Canada.
