Role Overview

As a Junior Portfolio Manager, you will play an integral role in managing and optimizing one of Europe's largest renewable energy portfolios. Collaborating closely with Portfolio Management, Finance, Controlling, and Operations teams, you will ensure portfolio performance is accurately monitored, reporting is precise, and financing activities are supported effectively. This position offers invaluable exposure to structured finance, asset management, and renewable energy projects, directly impacting the expansion and financial success of Enpal’s solar and battery storage assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Support ongoing surveillance and enhancement of the solar and battery storage portfolios, maintaining performance tracking, adherence to covenant obligations, and prompt reporting.
• Compile and examine financial reports for internal departments, lenders, and financing partners.
• Assist in monitoring loan agreements and financing frameworks to identify risks and contribute to mitigating actions.
• Collaborate with Controlling, Treasury, Cash Collection, and operational teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Analyze portfolio metrics to highlight potential improvements and value-generating opportunities.
• Contribute to refinancing efforts through preparing analytical reports, financial documents, and portfolio insights.
• Help sustain internal controls and workflows for compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Partner with senior management to optimize reporting processes and foster best practices in Portfolio Management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrable professional experience in finance, controlling, investment banking, structured finance, asset management, or similar sectors.
• Competent in financial modeling, including Excel-based cash flow models, scenario planning, and sensitivity analyses; familiarity with project or structured finance modeling is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of financial statements, reporting procedures, and corporate finance principles.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is highly desirable.
