Junior Data Scientist

About the Role

Tech Consulting is seeking driven Junior Data Scientists to join their expanding team. This is a full-time position requiring relocation willingness, ideally suited for fresh graduates or early-stage IT professionals with a passion for data science, AI, machine learning, and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, clean, and preprocess both structured and unstructured data for analysis.
• Create and deploy machine learning models that address business challenges.
• Conduct exploratory analysis to detect meaningful patterns and trends.
• Design predictive models and assess their effectiveness using statistical methods.
• Develop data visualizations and dashboards to clearly present insights.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, developers, business analysts, and clients to implement data-based solutions.
• Enhance machine learning models focusing on scalability, precision, and efficiency.
• Adhere to software engineering best practices such as version control and Agile frameworks.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, or related disciplines.
• Between 1 and 4 years’ experience in data science, software development, analytics, machine learning, or similar technical roles.
• Proficiency in programming languages including Python, R, SQL, Java, or equivalents.
• Knowledge of statistics, probability theory, linear algebra, and foundational machine learning concepts.
• Experience with data analysis libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn or comparable tools.
• Understanding of SQL, relational database systems, and data modeling techniques.
• Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP considered advantageous.
• Familiarity with machine learning platforms like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or XGBoost is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and effective communication skills.
• Flexibility to relocate to Atlanta, GA for paid training and travel or transfer as client projects require across the U.S.

Preferred Skills and Experiences

• Hands-on projects or internships related to data science, machine learning, AI, or predictive analytics.
• Competence with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Comfortable working with development environments such as Jupyter Notebook or Google Colab.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
