About the Role
A renowned luxury fashion brand is looking to hire a Junior Analyst for a full-time temporary position located onsite in the New York City metropolitan area. This role starts on September 1 and continues until December 31, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile domestic and international eCommerce sales by matching transactions from ERP systems with payment processors such as Adyen, PayPal, Klarna, as well as marketplaces like Farfetch.
- Investigate discrepancies deeply and collaborate with teams across eCommerce, Logistics, and IT to resolve any transaction differences.
- Track outstanding reconciliation items and work with Accounting to determine the proper accounting treatment and resolution.
- Prepare and post journal entries based on reconciliation outcomes and financial data.
- Reconcile daily payment settlements against bank statements, identifying and researching any unmatched, missing, or incorrect transactions.
- Contribute to month-end close activities and related reporting for the eCommerce business operations.
- Create ad hoc financial analyses, reports, and insights supporting accounting and business needs.
Candidate Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a financial analyst capacity, including internships or full-time roles, ideally within retail or eCommerce environments supporting accounting functions.
- Proven ability to handle data across multiple systems and manage large volumes of financial reconciliations in fast-paced, detail-focused settings.
- Strong analytical skills combined with exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset in addressing and resolving issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate cross-functionally and manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are mandatory; familiarity with SAP or comparable ERP solutions is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline is preferred.
Compensation and Additional Information
The hourly wage for this role is $35. The salary range provided is current and accurate at the time of posting but may be subject to future adjustments; additional incentives, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits may be available as discussed during hiring.
