Role overview
Dawia Family Office is hiring a Junior Accountant in Dubai to handle a mix of internal and client-related accounting work. The position focuses on accurate transaction handling, reconciliations, compliance assistance, and financial reporting. You will work closely with the Senior Accountant and other internal teams to help protect financial accuracy and meet regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Record daily accounting entries, process invoices and payments, and follow the Maker/Checker approval flow.
- Carry out reconciliations and keep financial records up to date in Zoho Books and other accounting tools.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and help ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist with tax-related preparation and maintain alignment with UAE financial and regulatory rules.
- Refresh dashboards, organize supporting documents, and maintain accurate data.
- Work with colleagues to investigate variances and improve accounting workflows.
Requirements
The role calls for a graduate-level accounting or finance background, along with at least 2 years of accounting experience. UAE exposure is preferred. Candidates with ACCA, CPA, or a similar professional qualification will be preferred, though this is not mandatory. Practical experience with accounting software, especially Zoho Books, is important. A solid grasp of accounting basics, reconciliations, financial reporting, UAE WPS rules, tax document preparation, and regulatory standards is also expected. Strong analytical thinking, precision, and careful attention to detail are essential.
