Collaborating closely with partners and clients, they design new materials that are ready for mass production through their computational Materials Discovery Platform, allowing rapid iterations to meet market demands.
Role Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement the IT strategy, roadmap, and governance aligned with organizational goals.
- Serve as a trusted consultant to company leadership regarding technology investments, risks, and opportunities.
- Continuously enhance IT service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Supervise the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including cloud services, on-premises systems, networks, and endpoints.
- Maintain high system availability, optimal performance, and scalability to support an expanding distributed workforce.
- Establish and enforce IT-related policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
- Lead IT service management practices covering incident, change, and problem resolution processes.
- Direct cybersecurity strategy encompassing risk assessments, vulnerability management, and staff awareness initiatives.
- Implement protection mechanisms including best practices, employee training, and phishing simulation exercises.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, security, and data protection standards.
- Develop, update, and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Manage significant IT projects like system upgrades, migrations, and digital transformation.
- Assess and adopt new technologies, tools, and suppliers to enhance cost-efficiency and performance.
- Oversee vendor relationships, contractual agreements, and service quality delivery.
- Forecast IT budgets and advocate for resource allocation and investments.
- Oversee hardware, software, and IT asset lifecycle management including provisioning and configuration.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding, along with identity and access management.
- Provide dependable IT support for both remote and onsite employees.
- Maintain accurate asset inventories, compliance with licensing, and manage procurement procedures.
- Coordinate routine monitoring, patching, maintenance, and upgrades across all technological environments.
- Promote IT security, compliance, and sustainable practices.
- Adhere to and promote environmental policies and work actively to reduce environmental impacts related to IT operations.
- Follow health and safety protocols, report potential hazards, and contribute to fostering a secure and healthy workspace.
- Perform other related or ad hoc duties as assigned.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT experience, with leadership roles in infrastructure and operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing IT strategies and overseeing enterprise IT environments.
- Strong knowledge in cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and infrastructure management.
- Proven ability to lead projects, manage vendors, and spearhead cross-functional initiatives.
- A bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
