Descrição da vaga

Role overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-focused IT Business Analyst with e-commerce experience to support digital commerce initiatives within a fast-moving team. In this role, you will help shape e-commerce solutions by collecting and evaluating business requirements, partnering with technical teams, and contributing to successful delivery. The position also includes application support, system reliability work, and participation in user interface and experience improvements across e-commerce platforms.

E-commerce projects and change management

  • Take part in e-commerce projects and change requests from initiation through delivery.
  • Collect user needs and translate them into clear business and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to carry out system analysis, design, troubleshooting, and testing activities.
  • Track development progress and maintain visibility over timelines and work schedules.
  • Monitor the progress of project and change-request activities and prepare status updates for the IT project team lead.

Application support and maintenance

  • Deliver post-go-live support and ongoing maintenance for existing applications.
  • Help resolve user issues and contribute to the stability of live systems.
  • Support existing e-commerce platforms and their integrations with customer engagement tools, marketing messaging systems, and data platforms.

UI/UX and web development support

  • Contribute to the look, feel, and performance of e-commerce web pages, including UX, UI, functionality, upkeep, and enhancements.
  • Work with designers and project managers to implement design concepts.
  • Coordinate with backend developers to connect frontend and backend systems.
  • Develop reusable and efficient code where needed.
  • Support the creation and upkeep of marketing content.
  • Ensure websites function correctly across different browsers.
  • Provide feedback on design choices and technical challenges.
  • Handle other project-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Applicants should hold a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a similar discipline, and bring at least 2 years of relevant experience. Prior exposure to e-commerce application development is preferred. The role calls for strong analytical ability, confidence in gathering and interpreting requirements, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.

Technical experience is expected in CMS platforms such as ContentStack, Salesforce CMS, or Salesforce Commerce Cloud, along with hands-on knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, AJAX, XML, and cross-browser development practices. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, or comparable prototyping tools is desirable, as is experience working with APIs in application development. Understanding of Agile and Scrum methods, web and internet standards, image optimisation, and SEO will be an advantage.
