Investment Banking Associate - Consumer & Retail

About the Role

Leadenhall Search & Selection is collaborating with a prominent global investment bank to recruit an Investment Banking Senior Analyst/Associate for their Consumer & Retail division in New York. This position offers a chance to be part of a well-established investment banking platform known for its strong footprint in global capital markets. The team focuses on advising top consumer and retail companies on a variety of strategic initiatives including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and other corporate finance activities. The role presents exposure to complex deals while working alongside seasoned bankers and industry clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in executing mergers and acquisitions as well as capital market transactions specific to the Consumer & Retail sector.
• Perform financial and industry research along with market analysis to support ongoing client engagements.
• Develop and update financial models, valuations, and analyses related to transactions.
• Provide support to senior team members during deal execution, client interactions, and efforts to develop new business opportunities.

Qualification Requirements

• Between 2 and 6 years of experience in investment banking, preferably specializing in M&A or a similar advisory role.
• Proven analytical capabilities with hands-on experience in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and transaction analysis.
• Demonstrated involvement in live deal execution and preparation of materials for clients, accompanied by a robust understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and M&A workflows.
• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline is preferred.
