The Opportunity
Based within a team operating across Newcastle and Sydney, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference every day. As an Investigations Case Manager, you will review information gathered from public sources, analyse findings and prepare clear reports that support claim decisions.
This is a maximum-term position running until 31 December 2027. It is a full-time office-based role in Newcastle, Sydney or Parramatta, with the option to work from home once training has been completed.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare concise, well-structured reports that explain findings, conclusions and next-step recommendations.
- Use open-source intelligence tools to screen claims by collecting and examining publicly available information.
- Work closely with internal teams and keep relevant stakeholders informed with updates and insights.
- Check that all information is accurate, compliant with claim certification requirements, and handled in line with privacy and confidentiality obligations.
- Carry out administrative review tasks such as producing reports, managing correspondence and logging actions.
What We’re Looking For
- A current Class 2E Private Investigator licence is mandatory.
- Knowledge of SIRA Standards of Practice and the ability to work within them.
- Hands-on experience with open-source intelligence tools and data analysis; familiarity with Maltego and Caspar is an advantage.
- Strong analytical ability and the capacity to interpret complex information with sound judgement.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organisation and the ability to juggle several priorities at once.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for explaining findings to different stakeholders.
- Comfort working independently while dealing with confidential and sensitive material discreetly.
- Insurance industry experience is preferred but not required.

Additional Information
This role is a full-time maximum-term contract through to 31 December 2027. The position is based in Newcastle, Sydney or Parramatta, with remote flexibility available after you are fully trained.
