Job Overview
The Instrumentation Technician at Dangote Cement Plc is tasked with maintaining the optimal condition and functionality of process instruments within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain detailed checklists and conduct upkeep of individual instruments and equipment.
- Perform calibration on field instruments such as temperature, pressure, and flow devices, as well as equipment like weigh systems, feeders, and metal detectors.
- Manage assigned job jurisdiction and promptly report any irregularities to the Sectional Head.
- Ensure continuous and efficient operation of the department within designated areas.
- Collaborate with other sections to gain comprehensive insights into plant conditions.
- Adhere strictly to ISO/IMS standards alongside relevant statutory requirements.
- Respond swiftly to equipment breakdowns in coordination with shift engineers to minimize downtime.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- At least two years of practical experience in a related role.
- Strong organizational capabilities.
- Advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
