Information Technology Procurement Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Information Technology Procurement Specialist for a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extensions, based in Atlanta, GA. This role requires full-time onsite presence and involves managing IT procurement operations across multiple locations within the 6th district.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in daily IT procurement activities within the district.
• Develop and participate in procurement strategies by defining business needs and identifying opportunities to optimize procurement processes.
• Recognize potential benefits that can provide business advantages through procurement initiatives.
• Maintain regular communication with management, updating them on procurement operations status.
• Represent the district’s IT procurement interests in Client System workgroups as necessary.
• Manage ordering of hardware and software for all district locations in the southeast region.
• Submit purchase orders and liaise with IT vendors to ensure smooth procurement transactions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in ordering hardware and software across multiple sites.
• Proficiency with procurement software such as ServiceNow and Ariba is advantageous.
• Strong critical thinking ability, with a mindset that encourages innovative problem-solving and inquiry.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with various stakeholders.
