Job Overview

The HVAC Technician role is a full-time hybrid position based in the United Arab Emirates, offering a mix of onsite work and some remote flexibility for planning, reporting, and coordination activities. The technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems such as ducting, piping, controls, and related components within interior fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and perform troubleshooting on HVAC equipment to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to guarantee efficient HVAC system performance and energy conservation.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, technical schematics, and project specifications accurately to guide onsite tasks.
• Collaborate with project engineers and site supervisors to ensure adherence to safety standards, local regulations, and project timelines.
• Document maintenance and repair activities, keeping detailed service records and effectively communicating progress with team members and clients.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient technical expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing various HVAC systems including split units, package units, chillers, and ventilation setups.
• Ability to read and apply mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation in practical settings.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE-specific safety standards, building codes, and HVAC regulations.
• Experience using HVAC tools and diagnostic instruments to assess and measure system performance.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with project managers, engineers, and other trade professionals on site.
• A relevant technical diploma or certification in HVAC or Mechanical Engineering; possession of a trade license or professional certification is advantageous.
• Prior experience in interior fit-out or construction sectors within the UAE or GCC is preferred.
• Possession of a valid UAE driving license is beneficial for conducting site visits and fieldwork.
