HVAC Research Scientist

About the Role

A global multinational corporation is seeking a skilled HVAC Research Scientist to enhance their team focused on sustainable building and HVAC innovations.

Core Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze emerging technologies to foster advancements in sustainable building and HVAC solutions.
• Work closely with internal departments to determine needs, perform research, and develop novel product concepts and proposals.
• Establish collaborations with leading research institutions and innovation ecosystems across Singapore.
• Maintain alignment with stakeholders by regularly presenting updates and proposing ideas through the organization's innovation framework.
• Drive HVAC research efforts, generate intellectual property including patents, and support the commercialization of innovative solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

• PhD in Engineering with specialization or significant interest in HVAC systems.
• Between three to five years of experience in research and development or academic settings focused on thermal systems, simulation modeling, and applications of data science or machine learning.
• Strong proficiency in assessing energy systems, building technologies, and recent advances in HVAC innovations.
• Current knowledge of HVAC trends and sustainability, capable of translating research findings into effective practical applications.
• Demonstrated skills in project management, a forward-thinking innovative mindset, and excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
