Overview

The Human Resources Trainee will assist daily operations within the TFF Americas HR department, gaining hands-on experience across payroll, HR administration, employee data management, and HRIS reporting. Reporting to the Manager of Payroll, Benefits & HR Controlling, this role is designed as a foundational opportunity to develop core HR skills and support essential HR functions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing by preparing and importing employee information such as hours, salaries, bonuses, and commissions into ADP Workforce Now in collaboration with the payroll manager.
  • Review employee timecards and commission calculations alongside the payroll manager, resolving any inconsistencies before payroll execution.
  • Support the auditing of payroll registers and commission reports to confirm accuracy, compliance, and necessary approvals.
  • Generate payroll reports including summaries, overtime, and general ledger data to aid accounting and financial reporting.
  • Provide support for onboarding, offboarding, and managing employee status changes.
  • Update and maintain accurate employee records across multiple HR systems including ADP Workforce Now, Oracle, and SharePoint.
  • Conduct routine audits of HRIS platforms ensuring data integrity.
  • Prepare required HR documentation, perform data entry, and assist with administrative processes.
  • Contribute to HR reporting efforts such as headcount, turnover, and payroll analyses.
  • Enhance proficiency in Excel functions like formulas, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables to support analysis.
  • Analyze HR data and trends to assist in strategic decision-making.
  • Support compliance and governance activities within the HR department, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive information.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related subject area is required.
  • One to two years of experience in HR or administrative roles; internships are acceptable.
  • A strong enthusiasm for HR operational processes, systems, and data-centric tasks.
  • Intermediate skills in Excel with motivation to progress to advanced capabilities.
  • Familiarity with HR information systems, specifically ADP Workforce Now and Oracle preferred.
