Human Resources Specialist

About the Role

Our client, a European fintech company based in Frankfurt, is seeking a proactive Human Resources Specialist to manage HR operations and workplace experience locally. This role offers full responsibility for the employee journey, collaborating closely with an international People team in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full employee lifecycle including contracts, onboarding, performance reviews, and offboarding processes.
• Oversee employee benefits and perks, contributing to their development as the company expands.
• Conduct engagement surveys, analyze feedback, and implement actionable improvements.
• Coordinate recognition programs and team events to reinforce company culture.
• Support learning and development initiatives for employees.
• Serve as the primary contact for employee relations matters.
• Ensure compliance with German labor law, workplace safety, and handle immigration and visa protocols, including Blue Card processes.
• Administer HR information systems, attendance tracking, and payroll documentation.
• Oversee smooth office operations including vendor and supply management, facilities, and workspace planning.
• Organize maintenance and health and safety inspections.
• Arrange business travel for staff members.
• Assist with budget management relevant to HR and office expenditures.
• Facilitate corporate social responsibility and community engagement activities.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in HR Generalist, People Operations, or HR Specialist roles, preferably within fast-paced international contexts.
• Practical knowledge of German employment legislation and immigration procedures.
• Fluency in English is required; German language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
• A proactive approach with readiness to adapt in a rapidly evolving workplace.
• Based in or able to commute to Frankfurt.
