About the Role
This position is tailored for an organized and driven professional aiming to grow a career in Human Resources while actively supporting a mission-focused organization. As part of a collaborative HR team, the assistant will engage in a wide array of employee lifecycle activities such as onboarding, compliance, engagement, record keeping, and offboarding. The role provides meaningful involvement across diverse HR operations to positively influence both staff members and overall organizational success.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with new employee onboarding including managing documentation, coordinating orientations, and setting up necessary systems.
- Ensure precise and organized maintenance of employee records and HR documents in compliance with relevant laws.
- Support various employee lifecycle events such as job transfers, status updates, leaves, and termination procedures.
- Monitor and support compliance efforts by tracking necessary certifications, documentation, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate programs that foster employee engagement, recognition initiatives, and internal communication efforts.
- Accurately enter and update HR data while safeguarding confidentiality.
- Answer employee questions and offer administrative assistance across multiple HR areas.
- Contribute to special projects and departmental tasks as delegated.
- Work with team members to streamline HR processes and improve employee experiences.
Qualifications and Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Interpersonal abilities to interact professionally at all organizational levels.
- High confidentiality and discretion when managing sensitive data.
- Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Preferred: Background in administrative roles, customer service, or previous HR experience.
- Familiar with HR systems and databases.
- Knowledgeable about social media platforms and professional networking tools.
