Role Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the risk management team effectively.
- Design, plan, and execute comprehensive risk management frameworks across the organization.
- Perform detailed risk assessments including analysis, identification, description, and estimation of all business-related risks.
- Carry out risk evaluations by contrasting identified risks with organizational criteria such as legal requirements, environmental factors, cost considerations, and past risk management practices.
- Define and quantify the organization's risk appetite, establishing acceptable levels of risks.
- Produce tailored risk reports for varied stakeholders including the board, business heads, and staff to ensure clear understanding of significant risks and accountability.
- Oversee corporate governance activities related to external risk reporting and stakeholder communications.
- Conduct audits to monitor adherence to policies and standards, collaborating closely with both internal and external auditors.
- Promote the formulation and periodic updating of explicit policies and procedures dedicated to risk management.
- Ensure timely evaluation of processes, product offerings, and credit facility applications.
- Provide ongoing support, training, and awareness programs to staff to embed risk-conscious culture.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and ethics codes and ensure their dissemination within the team.
- Stay updated and knowledgeable on all aspects of credit administration, including proposal processing, credit analysis, portfolio and risk management.
- Possess thorough knowledge of relevant legal frameworks and RBI or other regulatory prudential norms applicable to NBFCs.
- Manage smooth transitions during system implementations.
- Implement effective strategies to prevent fraud and financial misconduct and conduct regular fraud risk assessments with updated countermeasures.
- Engage in professional discussions with both internal and external stakeholders across the geographical operations of the group.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by competent authority.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates with prior experience in credit risk management within NBFCs and good exposure to vehicle loan portfolios are highly preferred.
