Role Overview

We are looking to welcome a warm, proactive, and service-oriented Guest Service Agent to our Front Office team. This role focuses on delivering outstanding guest experiences from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors warmly and professionally, managing check-in and check-out efficiently.
  • Assign rooms, issue keys, and update guest preferences precisely in the Property Management System (PMS).
  • Assist guests by answering inquiries, fulfilling special requests, and providing detailed hotel information to ensure a comfortable stay.
  • Collaborate with Housekeeping and Engineering to guarantee room readiness, timely maintenance, and address guest needs promptly.
  • Promote higher room categories and hotel services to increase revenue opportunities.
  • Handle incoming calls, messages, and guest demands courteously and promptly.
  • Coordinate with Concierge, Reservations, and other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
  • Provide accurate details about hotel amenities, dining options, transportation, and local attractions.
  • Manage guest feedback and concerns professionally, offering solutions or escalating issues to the Duty Manager when required.
  • Follow up on special requests, complaints, and service recovery actions to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Process payments, room charges, deposits, and refunds with accuracy.
  • Maintain documentation, reports, and handover notes systematically.
  • Keep the lobby and front desk organized, clean, and professionally presentable at all times.
  • Follow hotel protocols for security, safety, and confidentiality.
  • Verify guest identification, maintain visitor logs, and adhere to standard front office procedures.
  • Consistently comply with brand standards and service guidelines.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience in guest service, front desk, or similar customer service roles within hotels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-centric mindset.
  • Experience using hotel PMS software such as Opera or Fidelio preferred.
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask, remain composed under pressure, and thrive in a fast-paced hotel setting.
  • Professional appearance and a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; hospitality-related certifications are advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
