About Cadana

Cadana provides critical payment and payroll infrastructure that supports major workforce platforms worldwide in hiring and compensating workers. Their services include wallet management, payroll processing, and compliance frameworks necessary for contractor payments, payroll functions, and Employer of Record (EOR) solutions on a global scale. Trusted by prominent payroll providers, talent market platforms, staffing firms, and EOR services, Cadana delivers comprehensive payroll backend operations. As the company is rapidly expanding, they are preparing their growth team for upcoming significant client engagements and company developments.

How Growth Functions at Cadana

Cadana's Growth team operates on principles of consultative selling rather than traditional sales methods. Their focus is to deeply understand client compliance, operational, and technical needs to function as an embedded part of the client's team, rather than as an external vendor delivering a typical sales pitch. This approach fosters strong client trust, which the team aims to enhance moving forward. The Growth team works cross-functionally, regularly collaborating with engineering, compliance, legal, and operations. Their tasks include reviewing Know Your Business (KYB) and compliance workflows, negotiating contract details, verifying commercial agreements, and preparing client-specific deliverables while managing revenue growth across accounts. The role requires managing legal, regulatory, and technical challenges proactively, without deferring unresolved issues to other teams.

Role Overview

The Growth Operations Lead functions as a Chief of Staff for assigned Cadana client portfolios, holding full accountability for the end-to-end relationship. This person must adeptly manage compliance, contractual, and technical inquiries independently, blending account management, project oversight, and operational responsibilities. They collaborate closely with the Head of Growth and maintain clear visibility into new client onboarding, expanding accounts, and emerging sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of several key client accounts as the primary contact capable of addressing compliance, growth, and product-related queries comprehensively.
  • Facilitate smooth new client launches by coordinating KYB procedures, compliance requirements, and entity documentation, ensuring readiness for go-live in partnership with legal, compliance, and engineering teams.
  • Manage contract negotiations including reviewing legal counter-redlines and liability terms while assessing commercial risks to prevent deal obstacles.
  • Oversee account management for growing clients, monitoring commercial performance, troubleshooting operational challenges, and guiding accounts toward scalable success.
  • Produce cross-functional deliverables such as Plans of Action, compliance documentation bundles, and localized platform materials as client needs develop.
  • Support the pipeline for new potential clients by engaging with prospects and assisting in their evaluation and onboarding process.
  • Serve as an internal escalation resource by connecting with legal, compliance, and engineering teams to resolve complex, non-standard issues.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven track record as a top-performing professional responsible for managing initiatives end-to-end rather than simply executing assigned tasks.
  • 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in account management, client operations, or growth-related roles, with preference for backgrounds in global payroll, payments, or fintech industries.
  • Proficient at navigating legal, regulatory, compliance, and technical areas in unison; must be comfortable handling Master Service Agreement (MSA) legal edits, KYB/compliance assessments, and payroll technical integrations such as APIs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, able to build client trust and act as a dependable Cadana representative.
  • Willingness and capacity to operate within environments of ambiguity where processes can be manual, improvised, and tailored per client rather than routine or scripted.
  • Strong project management capabilities enabling the handling of multiple ongoing client projects—including launches, account scaling, and pipeline activities—without missing critical details.
