About the Role

A Boston-based investment firm focusing on lower middle market growth equity is seeking a Senior Associate to join their compact team. This role involves generalist investing and provides comprehensive exposure throughout the entire deal lifecycle. The Associate will be actively involved in sourcing deals, executing transactions, and assisting portfolio companies, working in close collaboration with senior investment professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and cultivate investment opportunities proactively through direct outreach and building relationships.
• Establish and maintain enduring rapport with company founders, executives, and industry intermediaries.
• Support all phases of deal execution, including conducting financial analyses, building models, and performing due diligence.
• Carry out market research relevant to target sectors to inform investment decisions.
• Assist in initiatives involving portfolio companies and monitor their ongoing performance.
• Engage actively in pipeline review discussions and contribute to investment decision processes.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses between 1 to 4 years of experience in investment banking, ideally with substantial deal transaction exposure.
• Previous internship experience in finance is required.
• Demonstrates strong capabilities in financial modeling and analytical tasks.
• Shows either proven aptitude or keen interest in sourcing deals and building relationship-driven investment strategies.
• Can efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced work setting.
• Exhibits high personal accountability, intellectual curiosity, and excellent communication skills.
