Groundskeeper

About the Role

The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the exterior appearance, safety, and cleanliness of the community's grounds, common areas, and amenities. This position plays a crucial role in fostering a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and team members while ensuring all property areas meet company standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-conscious, and dedicated to keeping the community well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Promptly address service requests and interact professionally with residents to fulfill their needs.
• Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of property grounds, walkways, parking lots, and shared spaces.
• Perform routine landscaping tasks such as trash removal, sweeping, debris clearance, and seasonal preparation.
• Assist with light maintenance duties including minor repairs and preventative upkeep.
• Support maintenance activities related to property turns, inspections, and vacant unit preparations as needed.
• Monitor exterior lighting and report any safety or maintenance concerns without delay.
• Keep tools, equipment, and supplies organized and maintained safely.
• Adhere to company safety protocols and property compliance standards.
• Provide courteous and professional service to residents and colleagues.
• Assist with snow removal and weather-related preparations when required.
• Help with inventory management of tools and supplies.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positively represent the community.
• Perform other assigned duties to support operational needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in groundskeeping, janitorial, or property maintenance preferred.
• Experience with light maintenance tasks, including unit turns, is highly desirable.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Snow removal and landscaping experience is advantageous.
• Comfortable handling cleaning agents and equipment.
• Capability to follow instructions, work independently, and manage assigned tasks effectively.
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Flexible work schedule, including availability on weekends to fulfill maintenance demands.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional service that exceeds expectations.

• Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Salary and Benefits

• Compensation is approximately $23.75 per hour.
• Eligible for annual performance bonuses.
• This is a non-exempt position qualified for overtime compensation.
