Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the grocery area by keeping it clean, orderly, and correctly zoned to ensure it is always customer-ready.
• Regularly rotate stock and remove expired or damaged items to uphold product freshness and quality.
• Ensure all merchandise is properly priced and signed, adhering to the store's procedures for ordering, clearances, markdowns, labeling, and flagging.
• Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and handling standards to maintain a hygienic and secure workspace.
• Keep the department fully supplied by restocking products, completing downstocking tasks, applying product protection, and setting up assigned modular displays including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Follow all health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment free from hazards.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands.

Challenges in the Role

• Manage high work volumes efficiently in a fast-paced setting, including overnight shifts requiring strategic energy management and focus.
• Handle physical activities such as long periods of standing, bending, and lifting inventory items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive duties like stocking and organizing products consistently and attentively to meet store standards.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $17.75 per hour.
