Role Overview
We are searching for a seasoned Global Accounts Manager to oversee and expand strategic international customer accounts. This role involves driving revenue growth and cementing enduring relationships with clients worldwide. The candidate will be responsible for crafting global account strategies, handling intricate enterprise-level connections, uncovering expansion opportunities, and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver superior value to key global customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise and implement global account strategies, including account planning, relationship management, and initiatives to drive revenue growth, aligning with company goals and client objectives.
- Manage a portfolio of strategic international accounts by acting as the primary liaison and trusted consultant to enterprise clients, regional teams, and executive stakeholders.
- Nurture strong connections with global clients by understanding their priorities, challenges, strategic plans, and long-term partnership aims.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, customer success, marketing, product, operations, finance, legal, technical teams, and leadership to deliver comprehensive solutions maximizing customer value.
- Track key metrics such as account revenue, retention, renewals, customer satisfaction scores (CSAT, NPS), account expansion, pipeline health, profitability, and strategic engagement.
- Identify opportunities for account growth via cross-selling, upselling, entry into new markets, strategic alliances, and solution innovations.
- Develop executive-level engagement plans, conduct business reviews, prepare account performance reports, formulate customer success plans, and offer strategic recommendations to clients and internal leadership.
- Analyze market conditions, competitor intelligence, customer insights, industry changes, and account performance data to pinpoint growth potential and mitigate risks.
- Lead governance activities for global accounts such as reviews, stakeholder alignments, escalation handling, service upgrades, and strategic planning sessions.
- Handle complex negotiations including commercial talks, contract renewals, service agreements, and partnership deals alongside legal, finance, and commercial teams.
- Leverage CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics), ERP systems, Microsoft Office tools, Power BI, sales analytics, customer success software, and business intelligence solutions to monitor accounts and generate insightful reports.
- Prepare reports, executive presentations, dashboards, revenue forecasts, strategic account plans, and business proposals for senior executives.
- Lead and mentor account managers, sales and customer success personnel, fostering a culture grounded in customer excellence, teamwork, ownership, and ongoing improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, Sales Management, Finance, Economics, or related fields preferred.
- Advanced qualifications such as master’s degree or certifications in Strategic Account Management, Sales Leadership, Customer Success, or Business Strategy are a plus.
- Minimum five years’ experience in global account management, strategic or enterprise sales, customer success, or business development roles.
- At least two years managing multinational customers, enterprise accounts, strategic partnerships, or complex commercial relationships strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of strategic account management, enterprise sales processes, customer lifecycle management, global operations, contract negotiations, revenue generation tactics, and CRM systems.
- Proficiency with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics), ERP, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, sales analytics, and customer success platforms.
- Experience or familiarity with AI-enhanced sales analytics, account intelligence platforms, customer data platforms, global market expansion tactics, and digital customer engagement technologies is advantageous.
- Strong leadership, commercial acumen, analytical capability, strategic mindset, negotiation prowess, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder engagement, executive interaction, negotiation, and team collaboration abilities.
- Capacity to manage complex global client accounts balancing expectations, revenue goals, service delivery, profitability, and partnership longevity.
- Ability to work independently in remote or hybrid settings, accommodating international clients across multiple time zones.
