We are seeking a junior Geotechnical Technician to join our Christchurch team, working on diverse geotechnical investigations and reporting projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work, engaging with new people, and is eager to expand their skills.
Responsibilities
The technician will conduct field testing, collect samples, log data for reports, and perform analyses. The role also involves scheduling projects, maintaining client communication, observing site work during construction, and conducting inspections.

Candidate Profile
- Holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering, a BSc with a focus on Geology or Earth Sciences, a BEng in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical, or a comparable credential
- Open to entry-level applicants; prior practical experience in the field is an advantage
- Knowledgeable about New Zealand building codes, industry regulations, and relevant software tools
- Meticulous with excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate within a team
- Possesses a full New Zealand driver's license
