General Counsel - Remote

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Counsel to join our team remotely on a contract basis. This role involves developing and refining contract negotiation playbooks tailored to diverse scenarios, drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, and providing expert guidance on contract management practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, assess, and enhance contract negotiation playbooks reflecting various real-world and company-specific conditions.
• Prepare, scrutinize, and annotate commercial contracts, ensuring clarity, precision, and adherence to applicable standards.
• Offer expert recommendations on best practices for managing contracts and negotiation approaches.
• Gather and provide appropriate non-confidential transactional materials to support documentation goals.
• Review and improve contract templates to increase efficiency and reduce risks.
• Work closely with Micro1's team to guarantee materials align with project standards and AI training requirements.
• Produce detailed written and oral feedback aimed at improving system comprehension and outputs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or previous role as General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, or Assistant General Counsel with an emphasis on contract negotiation playbooks.
• Proven experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts within corporate settings.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail.
• Understanding of industry best practices for reviewing contracts and assessing risks.
• Experience creating or working with company-specific contract negotiation playbooks.
• Familiarity with document-centric project tasks, including sourcing and submitting eligible materials.
• Capacity to work autonomously and provide precise, actionable insights to support AI training initiatives.
