Company Overview
The Technische Betriebe Stadt Konstanz is responsible for maintaining and managing the public green spaces in the city of Konstanz. Their scope includes gardening and landscaping, flower and ornamental plant cultivation, street maintenance, urban cleaning, winter services, carpentry tasks, and the operation of municipal cemeteries.
Role Summary
Within the division responsible for green care and gardening, which employs 35 people, the gardening team currently has four employees and two trainees. We are seeking a qualified specialist in horticulture or landscape gardening to carry out all types of gardening tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planting and maintenance activities involving seasonal, perennial, and woody plants.
- Care for and maintain municipal green areas.
- Manage cultivation both within greenhouses and outdoor areas.
- Execute floral arrangements and decorations.
- Maintain interior plantings in buildings.
- Participate in winter services and special assignments.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven expertise in gardening and green space maintenance through practical experience or suitable training.
- Valid driving license class B required; possession or willingness to obtain class C1E or CE licenses under company terms is advantageous.
- Physical ability to handle manual labor including lifting and working predominantly outdoors.
- Readiness to assume responsibility and commitment to continuous professional development.
- Dependability, motivation, and capacity to work well within a team; experience in leading a commercial work team is a plus.
- Precision, care, and punctuality in completing tasks.
- Basic technical understanding and flexibility regarding work assignments.
