Full-Time Janitor

Overview

SSC Services for Education is urgently seeking full-time janitors to join our team at the Roane County School District location in Rockwood, TN, with additional openings within the district. Job Responsibilities

• Maintain building cleanliness through heavy cleaning tasks including floor care, wall washing, glass cleaning, and trash disposal as per approved protocols and infection control standards.
• Collect and dispose of waste responsibly following established procedures.
• Dust and mop floors using approved techniques and materials.
• Relocate furniture and equipment as needed to facilitate thorough cleaning and restore items to their original positions.
• Sanitize all surfaces by adhering to the designated eight-step cleaning method.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, and baseboards to uphold a safe environment for students, visitors, and staff.
• Proactively identify and address cleaning needs in the facility.
• Complete supervisor-assigned duties promptly and perform tasks in line with federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Perform floor stripping, scrubbing, buffing, refinishing, and carpet shampooing.
• Exemplify professionalism with customers and colleagues and contribute positively as a team member.
• Other duties as required by the organization.

Experience and Requirements

• Previous janitorial experience is preferred, but willing to train motivated candidates.

Work Schedule

Full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, from 6:30 am to 2:00 pm. Flexible work arrangements including full and part-time options are considered to accommodate diverse scheduling needs.
