Position Overview

Within Shift, the Walker St Data division focuses on leveraging live customer data to enable personalized and impactful experiences for B2B clients. This involves transforming transaction banking data from multiple sources into actionable insights regarding customers, their networks, partnership health, and optimizing customer interactions.

We are seeking a Frontend Engineer with expertise in React and TypeScript to take complete ownership of a principal web application. The existing codebase is relatively small, affording an excellent opportunity to influence the product's future development considerably.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the core web application, steering its evolution and introducing innovative enhancements.
• Develop polished, high-quality user experiences using React and TypeScript frameworks.
• Enhance user workflows by incorporating strong product sensibilities and design considerations into feature development.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration with backend systems and APIs.
• Design and implement new functionalities, reports, and product improvements informed by user feedback.
• Ensure the platform's robustness by contributing to its reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
• Engage actively in code reviews, technical brainstorming, and architectural planning.
• Advocate for best coding standards, accessibility, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience delivering frontend applications with React and TypeScript in live production settings.
• A strong frontend mindset with meticulous attention to detail and a solid sense of product design.
• Capability to design and refine complex user flows and intuitive user interfaces.
• Good grasp of API mechanics and frontend-backend interaction principles.
• Working knowledge of C# and .NET is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, thriving in collaborative environments.
• Self-motivated and proactive approach with comfort managing ownership and autonomy.
