Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Fire Door Joiner to become a key member of our Passive Fire Division team. This role involves working on various projects primarily across the North of England, with the candidate ideally located in the West Yorkshire area. The position offers a competitive day rate.
Key Responsibilities
- Install new fire door sets and perform maintenance on existing fire doors, ensuring compliance with third-party certification standards and upgrading fire safety to meet the British Standard regulations.
- Carry out work within occupied premises such as multi-residential housing, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, student housing, and secure office environments.
- Collaborate as part of a team of certified joiners dedicated to maintaining high fire safety standards.
- Demonstrate professionalism by being punctual, polite, and hardworking, adhering strictly to all company policies related to safety and quality assurance.
- The role may occasionally require overnight stays away from home or night shifts based on project requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses NVQ Level 3 qualification as a joiner with proven experience specifically in fire door installation.
- Possession of FIRAS certification is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Asbestos Awareness certification is desirable but not essential, with training available.
- Must hold a full UK driving license.
- CSCS certification (Blue Card or higher) is preferable but not essential; training will be offered.
