Finance Operations Manager

This role sits within a highly sophisticated global business active in digital finance and blockchain innovation. Because the organization manages a complex international setup and meaningful treasury activity, it is looking for a seasoned finance operations professional to help expand and strengthen its finance function.

Reporting to the CFO, you will take ownership of day-to-day financial operations, accounting activities, treasury workflows, budgeting, reporting, and internal controls. The position is designed for someone who thrives in a practical, hands-on environment and wants to build better finance processes in a fast-moving technology setting.

Key Duties

• Maintain accurate records of daily financial activity across both on-chain and off-chain transactions, including reconciliations and general ledger integrity.
• Set up and manage a structured process for handling invoices from service providers.
• Produce financial statements aligned with IFRS and/or US GAAP standards.
• Support the upkeep and improvement of ERP platforms or related finance systems.
• Track payment statuses consistently so stakeholders can clearly see what remains outstanding and what has already been settled.
• Build monthly variance reviews with clear explanations and practical recommendations for the CFO and other stakeholders.
• Assist the CFO with budgeting, financial planning, strategic projects, and scenario modelling.
• Own payment operations to ensure vendors and partners are paid accurately and on time.
• Develop and maintain banking relationships and help establish fiat payment rails for reliable transaction processing.
• Work with development teams to surface finance-operational issues and propose workable solutions.
• Improve finance workflows to increase efficiency and remove operational friction.
• Create and apply financial policies that help control spending and reduce the risk of overspend.
• Partner with operations teams to ensure finance practices support operational needs.
• Strengthen financial controls, improve forecasting quality, and enhance expense monitoring.
• Define and track KPIs that measure financial health and operational effectiveness.

Candidate Profile

• Strong background in accounting or finance operations, preferably gained in an accounting or tax firm.
• CFA qualification or an equivalent advanced accounting credential.
• Solid command of IFRS; familiarity with US GAAP is an added advantage.
• Ability to run financial processes independently without needing close team support.
• Highly self-directed, able to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines on your own.
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including the ability to explain complex finance topics clearly.
• Proven success in remote work, with strong accountability and self-discipline.
• Deep experience in finance operations within fintech, startup, blockchain, or DeFi environments.
• Good understanding of blockchains, Ethereum, DeFi, and staking.
• Hands-on exposure to Gnosis Safe or similar multi-signature signing tools.
• Knowledge of international tax rules and cross-border compliance is beneficial.
• Familiarity with on-chain treasury management, including yield strategies and token diversification, is an advantage.
