Role Summary
The Finance Controller for IPDO is responsible for managing financial controllership activities including monthly closures, accurate reporting, and balance sheet integrity. This role also oversees management information systems (MIS), budgeting, forecasting, and provides actionable financial insights regarding cost and performance. Additionally, the position manages capital expenditure governance, ensuring proposals are evaluated, tracked, and spending is optimized. Compliance with statutory requirements, SOX controls, audits, and financial policies is essential, alongside focusing on process automation and cost optimization to support research and development operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly financial closing including provisioning, compliance, and reporting for IPDO plants.
- Review financial statements and notes ensuring compliance with IFRS and IGAAP standards.
- Lead MIS reporting, conduct budget versus actual analysis, and manage monthly latest estimate submissions with useful insights.
- Oversee the annual operating expense budgeting process in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Plan, monitor, and track capital expenditure budgets and proposal utilizations across different verticals.
- Ensure strict adherence to statutory regulations, SOX, and internal audit requirements, including resolving audit observations.
- Review trial balance, general ledgers, ageing reports, and reinforce financial control systems.
- Drive initiatives focused on process improvement, automation, cost reduction, and finance operations support for decision-making.
Qualifications and Experience
- Mandatory professional certifications: ACCA, CPA, CMA, Chartered Accountant (CA), or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in finance.
