Overview
The Enterprise Networking FP&A team at Cisco is a dynamic and collaborative finance group integral to the company's core operations. Focused on innovation and precision, the team supports Cisco's growth in Networking and Cloud sectors by providing impactful financial analysis and insights. The Finance Analyst role involves managing OpEx consolidation and headquarters budget oversight for the Workplace Technology Group (WTG) engineering division. This position requires close cooperation with corporate finance, finance controllers, and business operations to ensure budget discipline, forecast reliability, and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between central corporate finance and WTG business units, converting top-down budget directives into actionable strategies for internal stakeholders.
- Lead monthly and quarterly OpEx reporting and forecasting specifically for WTG's headquarters administrative and strategy/planning organizations.
- Maintain comprehensive headcount cost models and oversee all discretionary operational expenditures such as contracted services, software, equipment, travel, training, recruitment, relocation, and internal cross-charges.
- Collaborate regularly with business operations teams to share actual financial performance, highlight risks or budget advantages.
- Identify budget savings opportunities to strategically finance product roadmap acceleration and organizational priorities within WTG.
- Enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy by driving continual improvements through automation and AI tools in the financial consolidation process.
- Adapt financial models and forecasts to suit frequent organizational changes, ensuring data consistency and accuracy throughout transitions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in finance or relevant business roles.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and financial analytical skills.
- Effective communication and influencing skills, especially with senior leadership.
- Fundamental knowledge of operational expenditure (OpEx) management and budgeting.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in intermediate Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial reporting tools such as Essbase, Business Objects, and Power Query.
- Proven history of process enhancements and successful project completion.
- Strong storytelling and communication skills to effectively present insights to both finance and non-finance teams.
- Experience with OpEx or cost of goods sold (COGS) is advantageous.
Work Arrangement and Application Notes
Finance team members at select locations follow a hybrid work model involving two in-office days per week, with limited exceptions.

Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary range for U.S. and Canada-based new hires is $98,300 to $127,800 annually, exclusive of incentive pay, equity, or benefits. Salaries vary by hiring location, expertise, and qualifications.
