Job description
Role Overview
This position is responsible for aligning all facility management tasks with the hospital's strategic objectives, ensuring compliance with ministry and accreditation standards, and fostering continuous operational improvement. The role requires close collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to maintain a safe, efficient, and high-quality environment in a healthcare setting.
Core Responsibilities
- Adhere to and promote established policies, procedures, and standard operating practices to maintain consistent and controlled operations.
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvements in systems, processes, cost efficiency, and productivity while considering best practices.
- Implement safety, quality, and environmental protocols to guarantee compliance with legislative standards and deliver services responsibly.
- Support the Head of Facility Management in operational excellence, regulatory adherence, and maintaining accreditation readiness.
- Assist in budget preparation, resource planning, and performance monitoring to optimize operational costs.
- Build trust and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure compliance and advance organizational interests.
- Act as the principal contact for facility management concerns among clinical, nursing, administrative, and support departments.
- Communicate proactively about maintenance, renovations, and infrastructure changes to minimize disruptions.
- Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to schedule tasks aligned with hospital operations.
- Monitor service delivery metrics and actively participate in developing improvement initiatives.
- Support compliance with MOH, Civil Defense, CBAHI, and JCI standards and assist with audits and inspections.
- Collect and analyze performance data, prepare reports, and propose solutions for recurring challenges or inefficiencies.
- Assist in managing vendor contracts related to maintenance, cleaning, waste, and pest control services.
- Promote sustainability initiatives and participate in facility management improvement projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in facility management, engineering services, or healthcare operations, including a minimum of 3 years in coordination or supervisory roles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of hospital building systems such as HVAC, MEP, and utilities along with maintenance procedures and healthcare facility standards.
- Familiarity with Ministry of Health, Civil Defense, CBAHI, and JCI accreditation standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline.
- Valid membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
- Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, negotiation, and influence abilities.
- Fluent in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.
- Solid computer skills with experience using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
