Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Facilities Manager to oversee the smooth operation, upkeep, safety, and continual enhancement of our facilities. Reporting directly to the VP of Shared Services, the Facilities Manager will supervise teams responsible for maintenance, hospitality, cleaning, asset management, safety, and security. The role demands ensuring facilities are safe, dependable, cost-effective, and fully compliant with operational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute facility management strategies and operational plans aligned with organizational objectives.
• Manage the facility budget, monitor expenses, control variances, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to plan long-term facility improvements and allocate resources effectively.
• Supervise daily operations and maintenance activities covering all systems and equipment.
• Establish and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems.
• Ensure timely completion of maintenance requests and maintain critical system availability with minimal downtime.
• Guarantee adherence to operational, maintenance, and regulatory mandates.
• Oversee cleaning, hospitality, and workplace support services, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and professional environment.
• Manage facility asset records, maintenance, utilization, and lifecycle strategies to optimize costs and extend asset longevity.
• Develop and enforce safety and security policies, coordinate audits, emergency drills, and mitigate workplace risks.
• Maintain and regulate security infrastructure such as CCTV and access control systems.
• Handle vendor relations, ensure service level compliance, evaluate supplier performance, and coordinate internal stakeholder collaboration.
• Lead facility management teams by defining roles, setting performance standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Generate detailed reports, budgets, KPI tracking, and presentations for management review.

Qualifications and Expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Facility Management, or related discipline.
• At least seven years of relevant experience in facility or property management, including leadership of diverse operational functions.
• Strong understanding of building operations, preventive maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Proven ability managing budgets, vendors, contracts, and service level agreements.
• Solid knowledge of occupational health, safety, security, and compliance standards.
• Experience with facility management and Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Capacity to prioritize effectively and make decisions in high-pressure environments.
