About The Role
This role offers a distinctive chance to assist the Managing Director, Institutional, positioned within a high-achieving leadership team. As an Executive Assistant, you will deliver trusted and preemptive support to help the Managing Director manage priorities effectively and maintain the seamless flow of business operations.
You will be instrumental in organizing daily activities, fostering strong internal and external relationships, and ensuring the successful management of meetings, events, and leadership engagements. Additionally, you will contribute to organizational projects and initiatives, collaborating across departments to secure alignment and drive progress. This position provides meaningful exposure to Institutional Banking and is a valuable opportunity to enhance your skills, build your professional presence, and support senior leadership efficiency.

Role Details
- Location: Auckland
- Term: 10-month secondment, full-time
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality administrative and operational assistance to ensure smooth daily business functions
- Manage complex diaries, calendars, and email inboxes; coordinate meetings with stakeholders; arrange precise domestic and international travel plans
- Build and maintain trusted relationships, fostering a supportive and connected team environment
- Identify opportunities and execute improvements in administrative processes to increase efficiency and streamline workflows
- Collaborate closely with a skilled Executive Assistant network to share ideas, balance responsibilities, and consistently uphold high standards
- Embodiment of ANZ’s values and contribution to a collaborative, customer-centric culture throughout the company
Required Skills and Qualities
- Strong organizational and coordination capabilities, adept at managing competing priorities and maintaining structure across complex schedules and multiple tasks
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude, demonstrating initiative, anticipating requirements, and ensuring follow-through with minimal supervision
- Professional discretion and the capacity to manage confidential information confidently in a senior leadership setting
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust, collaborate effectively, and interact comfortably with diverse stakeholders
- Clear and confident communication, keen attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality work and interact professionally
- Resilience and adaptability to remain composed under pressure, navigate uncertainty, and quickly adjust to shifting priorities
