About HYROX and Role Overview
HYROX is the rapidly expanding global fitness race series. We seek an Event Layout & CAD Manager who will be instrumental in shaping the physical environment of our events worldwide. This position transcends mere floorplan creation, encompassing the design of engaging and efficient spaces that define the HYROX experience across diverse cultures and venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and continuous improvement of worldwide event floorplans using AutoCAD, ensuring optimal flow, safety, and ambiance.
- Oversee and develop 2D venue models to clearly communicate event layouts.
- Assess and tailor layouts to enhance athlete movement, venue capacity, and operational safety.
- Collaborate with teams such as Operations, Commercial, Branding, Audio-Visual, and Logistics to convert their requirements into precise technical drawings.
- Perform on-site measurements and venue evaluations, updating drawings correspondingly.
- Maintain and expand global layout templates, CAD block libraries, and scaling protocols.
- Assist in capacity modeling and manage spatial data for varied venue types.
- Ensure designs comply with local safety regulations, are feasible operationally, and meet deadline requirements.
Desired Profile
- 3 to 5 years of experience in CAD-based technical layout design, preferably within live events, exhibitions, or venue planning; candidates with less experience may be considered for junior positions.
- Expertise in AutoCAD (proficient in 2D, 3D knowledge advantageous); familiarity with Vectorworks, SketchUp, or Rhino is a plus.
- Strong grasp of spatial arrangements, event circulation logistics, and build practicality.
- Excellent visual and technical communication skills, capable of articulating designs to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under strict time constraints.
- Fluency in English is required; German language skills are advantageous.
- A passion for sports, creative design, and delivering exceptional live event experiences.
