Role Overview
Suncorp Group seeks dedicated On-Road Assessors to join their team in Perth, WA. This full-time, permanent role places you at the forefront of assisting customers as they navigate through property damage claims. Your role will involve conducting thorough property damage assessments, determining claim scope and liability, and ensuring compliance with policies and legislation while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform property damage evaluations onsite, virtually, or via desktop, collaborating with customers or repairers.
- Review and approve or reject repair scopes to ensure cost-effective and quality outcomes.
- Provide clear and timely communications to customers concerning claim status, decisions, and next steps.
- Assist Claims Managers by resolving complex customer issues and supporting vulnerable clients.
- Document assessments accurately, including decisions, supporting evidence, and outcomes.
- Promote cost efficiency and repair quality assurance while participating in continuous improvement efforts.
- Identify and manage risks, report suspected fraud, and adhere strictly to policies and legal requirements.
- Give feedback on repairers’ performance and recommend service or process enhancements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Mandatory: Trade qualifications or formal certifications in building or related fields.
- Preferred: Certificate IV in General Insurance or equivalent; Diploma in Loss Adjusting; experience in assessment, supervision, or construction.
- Capability to assess claims statewide, including Queensland, which may require regular travel.
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills, managing expectations empathetically both face-to-face and over the phone.
- Substantial background in insurance or property claims sectors.
- Excellent written communication skills for detailed reporting.
