Estimation Engineer

Overview

Sarthi Epc Projects Private Limited seeks an Estimation Engineer specializing in civil engineering to manage quantity take-offs, bills of quantities (BOQs), and cost projections for EPC and infrastructure projects. This role involves active engagement with the full tendering process and requires handling tender materials and online bidding.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze tender documentation, engineering drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and contractual terms.
• Develop quantity take-offs, BOQs, perform rate analysis, and prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
• Monitor relevant tenders on government e-tender platforms such as GeM, CPP Portal, and nProcure.
• Solicit and assess vendor and subcontractor quotations effectively.
• Compile detailed technical and commercial bid documents for submission.
• Assist in online bid submissions including handling Earnest Money Deposit (EMD), Tender Fees, and Bid Security.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and address queries related to tenders.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Procurement, Finance, and Project Management teams throughout the estimation and tendering phases.
• Maintain thorough records of estimates, tender databases, and management information system (MIS) reports.
• Ensure all submissions strictly comply with tender specifications and deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Civil Engineering.
• Additional certification in Quantity Surveying or Estimation is advantageous.
• A minimum of two years' experience in civil engineering estimation and tendering processes.
• Preferably experienced in EPC or government infrastructure projects related to water supply, underground drainage, sewage treatment plants, sewerage systems, irrigation, road projects, or similar sectors.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and cost estimation methodologies.
• Familiar with tender documentation and formal government tender procedures.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD software.
• Experience using government e-tender platforms including GeM, CPP Portal, and nProcure is preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP software and project scheduling tools like MS Project or Primavera is a plus.
