Role Overview

This on-site part-time role involves working a 38-hour week (Monday through Thursday for 8 hours and Friday for 6 hours) at various client locations in New Plymouth within the education sector. As the first point of contact for IT concerns, you will engage directly with users, handle a ticketing system, and troubleshoot technical problems effectively. The job requires flexibility to travel between sites, but company vehicles are not provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to clients through phone, email, and chat.
• Identify and resolve technical issues reported by users.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents using a ticketing system.
• Escalate unresolved problems appropriately and monitor progress until solved.
• Continuously update knowledge of technology products and industry developments.

Requirements

• Must be a New Zealand citizen or have permanent residency.
• Possess a valid New Zealand driver's license (full or restricted).

Preferred Technical Skills

• Experience with Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022.
• Familiarity with Azure Active Directory administration.
• Knowledge of firewall technologies, including FortiGate.
• Understanding of network switching systems such as Ruckus, HP, and Allied Telesis.
• Wireless technology experience with Ruckus, Aruba/HP, or Aerohive products.
• Ability to maintain and troubleshoot printers and copiers.
