Role Overview

Join Lightcone Capital as an Entrepreneur in Residence based in Berlin. This position entails identifying new market prospects and developing innovative digital-first companies with high profit potential. You'll focus on understanding customer needs, crafting business models, and defining clear strategies to drive success.

Key Responsibilities

• Explore market opportunities, understand customer jobs to be done, identify pain points, and design viable business models for novel high-margin digital ventures.
• Establish value propositions, develop go-to-market plans, outline product roadmaps, and construct financial models detailing unit economics and scaling strategies, while defining success milestones spanning one to three years.
• Lead product/service launches starting in Germany with potential expansion across the European Union, iterating on minimum lovable products and tracking key performance indicators.
• Serve as interim founder to guide ventures until permanent leaders are appointed, assist in recruitment, and support current projects as needed.
• Continuously repeat the process of venture discovery and execution.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrates a strong bias for action, prioritizing speed and pragmatism in decision-making with an understanding of one-way versus reversible choices.
• Possesses courage and embraces high ownership roles, engaging hands-on throughout idea evaluation, discovery, testing, analysis, and presenting proposals to founding partners.
• Exemplifies a proactive, no-task-is-too-small attitude, swiftly tackling necessary work with urgency.
• Maintains flexible but confident opinions, values data-driven decision making, conducts research, and manages KPI tracking including manual data processing for robust evidence support.
• Operates with a positive mindset, effectively manages stress through calm and honest communication, actively seeks and provides feedback, fostering strong collaborative relationships.
